Amber Olson, 31, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Amber Rose Olson was born December 30, 1982 at Grafton North Dakota to Gary and Connie (Woinarowicz) Olson. She graduated from Drayton High School in 2001 and went on to attend Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, Minnesota where she studied cosmetology. Amber became a licensed cosmetologist in North Dakota and South Dakota. She moved to Fargo and worked at MJ Cappelli. Amber later moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota and worked at Beauty Mart there. She also worked in Watertown and Harrisburg, South Dakota. Wanting to be closer to her family she returned to Fargo where she lived until shortly before she passed away. Amber loved cooking and baking. She had her own hand-written cookbook that she carried with her everywhere She rarely showed up at someone's home without a food dish or baked good. Amber was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and Fighting Sioux hockey, but there is nothing she loved more than her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Family members include her parents; Gary and Connie; brothers, Tyler Olson, Grand Forks, Blake (Desiree) Olson, Grand Forks and Garrett Olson, Duluth, MN; a sister, Ashley (Jon) Keeler, Grand Forks; paternal grandmother, Janice Ritchotte, Washburn, ND; her niece, Miranda Olson; fiancé, Eliott Aldentaler, Fargo; aunts and uncles, Keith (Deb) Woinarowicz, Wyoming, MN, Cindy (Mike) Thompson, Cavalier, ND, Janelle (Don) Rodriguez, Grand Forks, Cindy (Clayton) Bronson, Garrison, ND, Clarice (Brian) Karboviak, Drayton and Charles (Diana) Olson, Drayton and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irvin Olson and Elmer and Ardyce Woinarowicz. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church, Drayton. Interment will be in St. Edward's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Joseph Okogba, presiding; Mary Beth Pilon, soloist, Karen Schumacher, accompanist and Earlene Lasch, organist. Casket bearers will be Steve Halcrow, Charlie Stein, Ed Olson, Kamron Hudson, Josh Karboviak and Michael Thompson.
