Amber Jolynn Bjerke, 41, of Drayton ND passed away Jan. 6 th 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Amber was born to Kenneth and Sandra (Green) Bjerke on Nov. 14 th 1979. She attended school in Drayton, ND and graduated in 1998. After high school she worked at various jobs throughout her short life. Amber attended and took online classes at Park University at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. She graduated from Josef's School of Hair Skin and Body with a degree in esthetics and massage therapy.

"The Love of Her Life", Jordie, was born in 2004. Amber, along with Jordie and Jordie's dad Jeremy, enjoyed attending music concerts, movies and vacationing together. She took pleasure motorcycling with her friends and loved fishing and target shooting with her "papa".

Amber's zest for life and amazing smile and laugh were contagious. She fought hard to beat her cancer with so much strength and courage. She will be forever missed.

Survived by her daughter: Jordie Praska, her friend and co-parenting partner: Jeremy Praska, mother: Sandra Bjerke, brother: Shawn Bjerke, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and an endless amount of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Kenneth Bjerke, brother: Shane Bjerke, her papa: Gerald Jorde, grandmothers: Sylvia Jorde, and Ethel Stanhope and grandfather: Alvin Bjerke.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Drayton Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Drayton City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Leroy Aufenkamp, presiding; Amber Brown, soloist.
