Obituary

Allen Dale Duncklee, age 96, a lifelong resident of Drayton and Bowesmont, ND, passed away at the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock, MN on August 25, 2016.  Allen Dale Duncklee was born to the late Vera and Ernest Duncklee on the family farm at Fleece, near Bowesmont, ND on July 14, 1920.  He attended the Fleece Country School and graduated from high school at the State Agricultural and Training School in Park River, ND on May 29, 1940.  On January 1, 1941 he married Rosanna Stellon at the Fleece Assembly of God Church, then located near Bowesmont where they owned and operated the family farm together until 1986.  In 1987, Allen Dale and Rosanna traveled to Liberia, West Africa to help with multiple church repair projects.  Together they owned and managed the Rosedale Apartments in Drayton, ND.  Allen Dale was part-owner of Park View Properties, served as Director and Secretary on the Drayton State Bank/KodaBank Board and a member of the Fleece Assembly of God Church in Drayton where he taught Sunday School and served on the Board for many years.  He also served on the Board of the Joliette Farmers Grain Elevator and the Bowesmont Cemetery.


Allen Dale is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Andrew
Duncklee and Rebecca of Drayton, daughters and sons-in-law Phyllis and Mervin Holter of Drayton, Rosalie and George Bodenham of Batavia, OH, and Beverly and Dr. David Amamoo of Kingston, NY, ten grandchildren, Janelle (Holter) and John Nyegaard of Hallock, MN, Craig and Ann Holter of Wilmar, MN, Joleen (Holter) and Derk Maggert of Fergus Falls, MN, Amber (Duncklee) and Tim Swenson of Drayton, ND, Julie (Duncklee) and Justin Sott of Drayton, ND, Emily (Bodenham) and John Roflow of Bethel, OH, Deanna (Bodenham) and Ryan Woodward of Milford, OH, Maj. David Amamoo and Jannah Patchay of Belgium and London, Nesa Amamoo of New York City, and Lydia Amamoo of Kingston, NY, and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Mildred Flach of Grand Forks, ND, Rita Ingersoll of Greenville, NC and brother, Romanzo Duncklee of Emerado, ND.  He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, sister Telitha Bradseth, and brothers Sherman, Delbert, and Vernon Ray Duncklee.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church at Drayton. Interment will be in Bowesmont Cemetery, Bowesmont, North Dakota. Visitation will be held on Friday evening September 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Austin Funeral Chapel at Drayton with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Leroy Aufenkamp, presiding; Phyllis Holter, pianist, Dean Johnson, saxophone and Ann Holter, soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be Pete Anderson, Larry Brosius, Steve Church, Romanzo Duncklee Jr., Lyndon Juhl, Randy Schuster and Mike Stellon. Memorials are preferred to Pembina County Meals and Transportation of Drayton or the Bowesmont Cemetery Association.
